Samuella’s house
Creative Brief
Based in Washington, DC Samuella’s House supports women experiencing substance abuse who have been a victim of interpersonal violence.
Samuella’s House was an extremely important project for me, due to the nature of their work. They work tirelessly to rehouse abuse victims, while also supporting them on their journey to find counseling and new employment. Samuella’s house had several goals to accomplish with their site, first was to accept donations and as such the opportunity to donate is placed front and center. Second was to provide easy of access for grant funders who needed to quickly understand what Samuella’s house did and see the result of their work. The last was to act as an inviting tool for possible victims who may not feel like they can escape their situation.
Result
Samuella’s house offers a safe space for abuse victims. The goal was to create a site showed how they helped individuals transition in their lives and the results of those actions.
