Creative Brief
Based in Columbia Maryland, Shanelle Harrison was a budding artist who needed a site to grow with her as she developed her career.
Shanelle’s art explores trauma and depression, with visuals of over coming addiction and the effects of it on the human mind. With this in mind her website needed to reflect that darkness without becoming dreary or uninviting. Working from a base mindset of a gallery or museum, bold sans-serif fonts were chosen to place quotes about artistry and her mission front and center. Mixing darker colors to reflect her work with bright orange to provide contrast that directs the users eye to the pages call to action.
Result
The result was a website that both reflects her design styles and preferences while also being scalable as her portfolio grows.
